# Featured newsAs part of the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Programme (USOAP), the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) conducted an evaluation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV) from May 12 to May 27, 2024. This assessment is part of ICAO’s periodic audit process to ensure that national aviation authorities comply with ICAO’s safety standards and recommendations.
As part of this evaluation, ICAO selected AESC as one of the Aircraft Maintenance Organizations (AMO) to assess CAAV’s safety oversight capabilities over industry entities. Alongside AESC, other organizations such as VAECO and VJA were also included in the evaluation to ensure the objectivity and comprehensiveness of the audit program.
On May 23, 2024, the ICAO audit team visited and conducted an inspection at AESC's headquarters. The audit was carried out professionally, rigorously, and comprehensively. The results confirmed that AESC fully met ICAO’s stringent standards and requirements, with no recommendations issued for the company. The audit team acknowledged AESC’s efforts and strict adherence to maintaining a high-standard safety and quality management system in its maintenance and production proce
Notably, ICAO highly praised AESC’s safety and quality management system, emphasizing that the company not only met but also exceeded multiple stringent requirements in aircraft equipment maintenance. This achievement marks a significant milestone for AESC and serves as clear evidence of the effectiveness of CAAV’s aviation safety oversight.
Receiving zero recommendations from ICAO is a positive indicator for AESC, reinforcing the company’s strong position in the aviation maintenance industry. This result also enhances the reputation of Vietnam’s aviation sector on the international stage, paving the way for sustainable and safe industry development.
With these accomplishments, AESC remains committed to continuously maintaining and further enhancing safety and quality standards in aircraft equipment maintenance, contributing to the overall growth of both the domestic and international aviation industry.
